Tested the UC-8112-LX with HW rev 3.0.0 and installed firmware v3.1 and there is an option in bootloader to bootup from eMMC or from SD card.
Instructions:
1. Connect over console cable your laptop and UC-8112-LX.
2. Keep pressed * key while UC-8112-LX powers-on to enter into full menu of boot loader.
3. Choose option under h) Run kernel and then decide where to boot-up from eMMC (0) or from SD card (1).
